Q: Casual Kebaya
I want to wear a simple kebaya for daily use, what do you recommend?
A:
We would recommend the casual collection. Each season, we have 2 designs for example for the Spring/Summer 2007 we launched the t-shirt offshoulder kebaya “Sabrina” and the Victorian inspired design “Victoria”
Q: Measurement
How do you measure for custom made kebayas if I’m ordering from the US?
A:
There are two options; either we make the kebaya based on your size (US/UK sizes for example if you wear a size 4 US) we will make accordingly OR we will provide a detailed measurement document complete with visuals on how to measure yourself.
Q: Alteration
I’m worried if I order online and the custom made couture kebaya does not fit me well.
A:
Our standard procedure:
1)Measurements provided by the customer will be cross checked by our skilled seamstresses against the information provided ie weight,height and full length photo of the customer.
2)We will reconfirm on areas that may not be correct.
3)We will add .5 inches allowances should you require alterations with your local seamstress.
4)If you are located near to our offices, alterations are done for free. For overseas customers, all prices quoted are inclusive of 20% discount. This is to compensate customers if you need to do alterations with your local seamstress.

Can I see the fabrics before you make them?
A:
Yes, we can send the fabric swatches or picture prior to making them for approval.
Q: Colors
How about colors?
A:
We will provide the color chart for customers' to choose from.
Q: Delivery timeline
How long do you need to make a couture kebaya?
A:
10-8 weeks after confirmation depends on the extend of work required for beadings ie if a lot of hand beadings required to be done on the kebaya, we need more time and vice versa

Do you make bridal kebaya?
A:
Yes we do. We have many kinds of designs to suit you.At Chantiq Skaly we strive to create a piece of kebaya that suits your personality and we want to materialise your dream wedding look.
Q: Shipment Fee
Do you send orders to the United States and what is the cost like?
A:
FREE WORLDWIDE DELIVERY.
Delivery for readymade kebaya is approximately 2-3 weeks.For Coutures',we will advice the delivery timeline.
If the kebaya is required urgently, we will send through courier services (either FEDEX,UPS or DELTEC) and charges to be borne by the customer.
Q: How to buy the nyonya kebaya online
I am interested in the nyonya kebaya classic collection and wants to buy online. Can you explain further?
A:
Very simple, select your preference from the estore :
a)single colored OR
b)multicolored embroidery with or without
openwork.
Note:
Fabrics are either casa rubia or voile and comes in many colors/sizes. So, let us know your prefered base color. We will try to accomodate.
Select your preferences and we will pair the kebayas with a matching brown traditional batik sarong.
Q: Limited Photos
why isn't there a lot of pictures to view?
A:
If you are a buyer or agent a lookbook will be provided upon request. However, for retail customers, we would like to advice to view the pictures available on the website as reference and the price as indicator of the fees for a bespoke kebaya.
At Chantiq Skaly, we believe that each piece should be made to suit a person's personality,size,age etc Thus we would like to start designing individually and not to be based on what is seen on the website alone. We want a customer to tell us what they want and we will then advice on the fee for that piece of work.
We make kebayas to suit you body and personality at a budget to suit your pocket.
Q: Couture Kebaya
I would like to buy the couture kebaya online but I'm confused between debut,moyen and haut?
A:
We have 3 packages with different price range :debut,moyen and haut.
Debut:
Simple and yet elegant kebaya with beadings and will be specially designed by our Creative Director. We will provide the fabrics,sketches and color chart for customers' approval before we proceed.
Moyen:
We will add more artwork ie beadings to the kebayas and we will do applique with frenchlaces. Again, all the fabrics,sketches and color will have to be approved by the customer.
Haut:
This is the most elaborated kebaya with full beadwork using swarovski crystals/pearl.
Note: All our kebayas comes with complimentary shoes and handbag.

Do I pay in full upon confirmation?
A:
Yes, for online purchases due to the timeline and fees imposed in each transaction.

What is "keronsang"?
A:
Keronsang is a 3-pin brooches to be worn with the traditional nyonya kebaya. This is to be placed/pin at the lapels.

Can you explain the classic collections further?
A:
Classic means the traditional design kebayas ie nyonya kebaya or the indonesian designed kebayas.
In our website, the nyonya kebayas are published in our website and sold as readymades. The classic collection - indonesian designs are custom made only the samples can be viewed through the photo gallery. Prices depends on the fabrics and artwork (beadings etc)
